We haven't been here for several years, as the previous owners had let standards slip.Very pleased that we returned, new people running the pub, good selection of drinks, main menu and a Specials board, very clean, polite staff, everything was spot on. The food was delicious and a generous serving. Looking forward to returning in a couple of weeks.
We turned up without a reservation and was offered a great table by the fire. The place was really great and the staff super friendly.The food was amazing! we had 2 roasts of the Christmas menu, they are both really filling and really tasty.
We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this lovely character-filled and nicely finished pub.The food itself was absolutely excellent with very generous portions. The vegetarian nut roast I had was excellent and the chicken which another of our party ordered was also perfectly cooked. These were all accompanied by very generous portions of fresh vegetables and a rich cauliflower cheese. This was followed up by some - again - very delicious desserts with a good selection for vegan and gluten-free diners. To top it off, the service was very quick and the staff friendly and attentive.We can easily say we’ll definitely return if we’re in the area again and I’ll definitely be recommending to others.
